As I’m writing this, I am attending a pastor’s conference in Gatlinburg, TN. Even though I am away from home, I continue to follow my normal routine in the mornings, allowing me to have my quite time with the Lord before the day starts. It is early, it is quiet, and it is a special time for me. And as I conclude my time of study this morning my thoughts turn to you my Church Family. My prayer is that you indeed do know how much I love you. I give thanks for you each and every day and look forward to our times each week to gather in fellowship and study of God’s Word. I truly am a blessed Pastor to have such a wonderful church family.

I have spoken with recent visitors and they have said that there is something very special about Saluda Baptist Church. They tell me that they see the love shared between each of our members and that same love extends outwardly to them as they enter the doors. I’ll be honest, it is my belief that this is rooted in our love for God first, the kind of love described in the Gospel of John when he says:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:34-35 (NKJV)

As we approach Resurrection Sunday, I would challenge you to invite as many as you can to come and join us that Sunday morning. Perhaps that day, they too will experience our love, but more importantly they will experience the Love that our Savior first showed us on the cross and through His resurrection!

To help of us with inviting, we have printed several invitations that have our schedule for the day and we will make those available to you on Palm Sunday. Please start now and make your list of whom you are planning to invite. Let’s pack the house of the Lord with as many as we can and share our love for the Lord and each other on that day!

Remember, Jesus Loves You and So Do I!
