Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We encourage everyone to dress comfortably and respectfully. In essence, what would you wear to come into the presence of God. For some, that may mean a suit and tie, or a dress for ladies. But for others it may mean jeans and a golf shirt or blouse. No matter what you wear, you are always welcome here.
WHERE DO KIDS GO DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE?
Nursery care is available for infants and young toddlers throughout the worship service. Children above the age of three are encouraged to remain in the sanctuary with the adults. We view this as a way for them to learn and grow in their own worship.
WHAT DOES A SERVICE LOOK LIKE?
Recognizing that worship is a communal experience that brings together diverse individuals, we draw from a variety of worship traditions as we follow the seasons of the Christian calendar. We have times of prayer, worship, scripture reading, and sermons for both adults and children to help convey the gospel message and to offer support in following the call of God throughout the week.
HOW DOES SALUDA BAPTIST CHURCH OFFER BAPTISM?
We practice baptism by immersion in accordance with scripture.
HOW DOES SALUDA BAPTIST CHURCH SERVE COMMUNION?
Communion is observed at least once every quarter, typically on the first Sunday of the quarter.
WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?
At Saluda Baptist Church, you will find blended service, featuring a contemporary song of praise along with beloved hymns that have touched hearts for generations. Our Choir sings almost every Sunday and is a wonderful component of the music ministry. We believe that all music styles can be used to worship our great God! Come with an open heart to worship and you will be blessed!
WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL SUNDAY SCHEDULE?
We have Bible Studies at 9:30 AM for all ages and Our worship service starts at 10:30am. Later that evening, we also have our time of Family Discipleship which starts at 6:00 PM.
IS SALUDA BAPTIST CHURCH AFFILIATED WITH A PARTICULAR DENOMINATION?
We are a cooperative member in the Ridge Baptist Association, and the South Carolina Baptist and Southern Baptist Convention.
HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?
