Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, “Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
This “cord of three strands” Scripture is often quoted in wedding ceremonies to describe the relationship between a husband and a wife who together trust and follow God, forming a strong bond that is not easily broken. Not only is marriage stronger and more permanent, but the added benefit is that it honors God and keeps Him in the center of the family.
This idea is not limited to marriage (although for anyone who is married or considering getting married, it is the most vital basic foundation for life). We find this concept to be true everywhere we look. For example, we find it in our ministry partnerships we have here at Saluda Baptist Church.
Over the years we have formed a several strong partnerships between Saluda Baptist Church and other like-minded, Gospel-oriented groups. One of those is Samaritans Purse, who coordinates the Operation Christmas Box which you may have noticed the boxes in and around our Church. Another is Shepherd’s Hands, which is a mission in West Virginia, which we will be sponsoring winter coats for in November. Yet another is Chosen Children Ministries, who coordinates mission efforts in Nicaragua.
As you can see, it is through these partnerships, that we can share the Love of Jesus Christ throughout the world! And as we partner with these organizations, we center ourselves on Christ and bind ourselves together, through Him.
There is another Partnership that I also would like to mention and that is with Life Action Ministries. The first week in January 2024, the Life Action Revival Team will come to Saluda Baptist Church and lead us and our community in our revival services. This conference is specifically designed for us to focus on renewal with the Lord. Through preaching from God’s Word, they will focus on loving God, loving people, understanding, and receiving God’s grace, turning from pride and sin, calling out for God’s help, and seeking Him wholeheartedly. I know the Lord will Bless all who attend.
I would challenge you right now to Pray to the Lord on how you can get involved with each of these Partnerships and our time of revival coming in January.
Remember, Jesus Loves You and So Do I!!
