Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 136:1 (NKJV)
My Dear Church Family, As I sit here and type this note, my heart reminds me that we as believers, truly have so much to be thankful for! Yes, there seems to be bad news arriving every day in and around the world and even here in South Carolina, but even amidst all this bad news, we should still give thanks to the Lord, for He is GOOD and He alone is worthy for our praise! Recognizing that every good and perfect gift is from our heavenly Father, we should find ourselves in constant prayer: • Praying for our Families • Praying for Community, • Praying for our State, • Praying for our Nation • And also praying for those who serve and protect both at home and abroad. The Bible also reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So, give thanks to the Lord and Pray to the Lord with all of your request, and then be still and know that He alone is in control of all things. Let go of your worries of this world and just Praise the Lord, giving thanks, for all that He has done and all that He is going to do. As a reminder, this month, we will have our community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday evening, November 20th at Red Bank Baptist Church. We'll be gathering with the fellowship of believers from several other local churches in Saluda and will be a wonderful time for us all to give thanks to the Lord. I would encourage you to come and be a part of this wonderful community service. Remember, Jesus Loves You And So Do I! Pastor Jeff
